A dozen or so intrepid Team CS cyclists braved the blue skies and moderate temperatures yesterday for our first team training ride. From the Central Park starting point we rode through the park, up Riverside Drive, over the George Washington Bridge, and up 9W towards Alpine, Piermont, and Nyack.
Some people met their training goals and turned back in Alpine, while those who continued on were rewarded with coffee and muffins at The Runcible Spoon, a very cycling-friendly bakery in Nyack. The complete Central Park to Runcible round trip was approximately 46 miles. For me, the Brooklyn to Central Park round trip added another 20, but it was a beautiful day to be out.
Hope to see you all again - and some new faces - next Sunday!
